It’s with much sadness we announce the permanent cancellation of the Munna Creek Country Music Festival.
14-17 October 2021
Now in its 11th year, Munna Creek Country Music Festival is one of the must-see events on the country music calendar. Set in the beautiful Munna Creek countryside, the award-winning festival offers quality traditional country music in a friendly, laid-back atmosphere.
Gates open Monday 11 October – come along early and enjoy 3 days of pre-festival activities.
Country Music Open Mic Sessions (Monday to Wednesday)
Take the stage in our open mic sessions and sing your favourite songs with a full backing band in a fun, casual setting. Alternatively sit back and enjoy local and visiting talent perform original music or covers of country songs you know and love.

Be moved to laughter and tears with Gary Fogarty and his team of larrikins reciting poetry and stories of the Australian way of life in a way only a true Aussie can.
Get up early, grab some breakfast and enjoy several hours of great Aussie bush poetry, tall stories and laughter at our Poets’ Breakfast.

Camping and entertainment

Open mic – perform on stage
Come early to the Music Festival and perform as a walk up artist in front of a friendly audience in our Country Music Open Mic Sessions.
Take the stage and sing your favourite country songs with a full backing band. You don’t need to be a seasoned performer. Our open mic event is on offer to anyone who loves singing country music.
The Music Festival is held at the Munna Creek Hall grounds – 15 acres of land in a beautiful bush setting. With a historic community hall which has recently been renovated, the Munna Creek venue is the perfect place for a laid-back country music festival.
The venue offers under cover entertainment and plenty of parking, with a large car park on offer for people visiting the festival for the day.
Camp in our beautiful 15 acre bushland venue – perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
There’s no need to book a camping site. Whether you want to pitch a tent, or bring your caravan, camper trailer or Winnebago we can guarantee there will be camping sites available at the Music Festival.
On offer is bush camping:
- Non-powered sites, with plenty of room for all types of campers
- Level camping sites
- Generators welcome from 7am to 9pm
- Plenty of portaloos
- Water truck available for shower water only.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to bring a chair?
Please bring your own chair. If you forget, we have a limited number of chairs we can lend people, but they won’t be as comfy as your own chair.
Should I book a camping site?
There’s no need to book a camping site. We guarantee there will be camping sites available at the Music Festival and don’t accept bookings.
Can I bring my dog to the Music Festival?
You’re welcome to bring your dog – there are plenty of places to take them for a walk in our 15 acre venue. Dogs are not allowed near the entertainment or food areas and need to be kept under control at all times.
Can I buy food and drinks at the Music Festival?
A range of food and drinks are available for purchase from the hall kitchen:
- Monday to Sunday – baked goodies (perfect for morning or afternoon tea), water, soft drinks, tea and coffee available all day
- Wednesday – BBQ available for dinner
- Thursday to Saturday – a range of home cooked meals available for dinner
Can I purchase alcohol at the Music Festival?
We don’t sell alcohol at the Music Festival, but you’re welcome to BYO alcohol.
