2021 Music Festival line up
Some of Australia’s best traditional country music artists will be performing at the 11th Munna Creek Country Music Festival 14-17 October 2021.
Rodney is your complete entertainer – his show is a blend of country, old time favourites, comedy and storytelling that cannot help but make you laugh. In 2011 he was inducted into South Australian Country Music Hall of Fame.
Sharon is one of Australia’s leading female vocalists of traditional and Australian country music. When she sings, you’re reminded of a beautiful songbird singing its heart out. She’s often people’s choice artist at festivals.
Alice, a local singer-songwriter from Gympie, won New Talent of the Year 2016 in the Gold Medallion Media Awards. Two singles from her latest album, Cowgirl Rockin’ have reached #1 on the Country Tracks Top 40 National Chart.
Lindsay has been part of the Australian country music industry for over 30 years. In 2019 he was inducted into the Hands of Fame in Tamworth and won International Classic Country CD of the Year in Nebraska, USA.
Dianne’s singing has a vulnerability and honesty that is captivating. In 2016 she released her debut album Walk With Me, which received recognition widely in Australia and overseas, particularly Europe. Dianne is currently gathering material for her next album.
Kiara, at 23 years of age, is an award-winning singer songwriter who already has a country music career spanning 14 years. In 2019 she won Comedy/Novelty Song of the Year at Tamworth Songwriters Association Awards.
Trevor is one of Australia’s talented emerging country music artists. In 2020 he teamed up with Laura Downing and won Best Duo in the Stan Coster Memorial Australian Bush Ballad Awards for their song Back to those Rolling Plains.
Peter, an award-winning singer songwriter, won Best New Talent in the Stan Coster Memorial Australian Bush Ballad Award in 2020. He’s just released his much anticipated third album The Reason, featuring the popular song Stanley & Slim.
Lynda is known for her beautiful, clear vocals and sees her talent as a way to connect with everyday people and give something back to the community. She loves reaching out to her audience with a beautiful ballad.
Fortunato has 20 years’ experience in the entertainment industry as a vocalist, entertainer and musician – touring all over Australia and overseas. He has renowned strong but smooth vocals which shine when performing ballads.
Lex won 2018 National Lyricist of the Year at the Capital Country Music Association awards. After marking the milestone of writing and recording 100 songs in 2019, he’s now working on his 11th album, due for release in 2021.
Kevin, a passionate Australian Bush Balladeer, is known for being a storyteller of the Australian way of life. Having lived in country towns from Bourke to the Snowy Mountains, his songs tell authentic tales of the outback.
Gary is one of Australia’s busiest performing bush poets and has many awards to his name. Frequently labelled the ‘The Voice of the Bush’, he’s a proud Australian and you’ll enjoy his unique ‘bush bred’ personality and humour.
Tony is an accomplished piano and pedal steel player. He’s a versatile musician with dynamic vocals and plays a wide range of country music from the Hank Williams era to modern day Adam Brand and Lee Kernaghan.
Fiddle Player – Munna Creek Festival Show Band
Hewie is a naturally brilliant fiddle player who’s well known in country music circles, but can play any style. He’s also a regular session musician at Kross Kut Records.
Bass Player – Munna Creek Festival Show Band
Kerry is a multi-instrumentalist who has skill to play ‘just about anything’ including bass, lead guitar and pedal steel. He’ll be showing off his bass playing talents at the festival.
Lead Guitarist – Munna Creek Festival Show Band
Alain is a talented guitarist, who also makes his own electric guitars. In the 70s and 80s he was lead guitarist in the band Gala Sounds, playing alongside his family and Lex K.
