Lindsay Waddington is a successful recording artist, musician, songwriter, accomplished producer, and is the owner of Australia’s Kross Kut Records recording studio on the Gold Coast.
At the age of 15, Lindsay started his career as a drummer before transitioning to become a multi-instrumentalist and entertainer with his trademark yellow electric guitar, known for his unique style of playing ‘upside down’. Known affectionately as Waddo he has played with, and backed some of our leading artists, and can be heard on hundreds of albums as a session musician playing many instruments including drums, guitar, mandolin and bass.
In 2003 he released his debut instrumental album and started producing in his own recording studio Kross Kut Records.
To date Lindsay has released ten albums and won or received finalist nominations as an instrumentalist in many of Australia’s leading industry awards. In 2019 Lindsay was inducted into the prestigious Hands of Fame in Tamworth NSW during Australia’s largest country music festival. He has also won many awards as a producer; including Producer of International Country Album of the Year in Iowa, USA three times. In October 2019 Lindsay was awarded winner of International Classic Country CD of the Year for his album Nullarbor in Nebraska, USA.
