Trevor Tolton first picked up a guitar at age 15 and soon found his place playing music right across Australia – first getting a foot in the door by playing the talent quest circuit during the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
In 2009 and 2012 he received scholarships to attend the Junior and Senior Country Music Academies. Here, he learned a few tricks of the trade that lead him to tour with Graham Rodger right across Australia for nine years – playing at festivals and on tours as Graham’s acoustic lead guitar player and guest artist.
He is now an accomplished guitar player, singer, performer and songwriter. Inspired by the likes of John Williamson, Slim Dusty, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and everyone else in between, Trevor continues to tour all over Australia, from the coastal cities to way out into the outback.
Trevor is an exciting young star in Australia’s country music scene. From delivering a powerful vocal performance to incredible guitar picking, he’s one of Australia’s talented emerging artists. In 2020, Trevor teamed up with Laura Downing and won Best Duo in the Stan Coster Memorial Australian Bush Ballad Awards for the song Back to those Rolling Plains.
